My 2026 fundraiser is officially live HERE!

For many transgender individuals, sport and movement is much more than simply a way of keeping fit and healthy; it's a means of connecting with a body and mind that have often been at odds with each other for much of their lives. Not only that, but physical challenges help cultivate an incredible mindset that carries over into many aspects of life, far beyond dysphoria alone.

However, far too many trans+ folk unfortunately still feel unwelcome, unsafe and excluded from many of these areas, especially in sports where there is still little to no representation from visible trans folk or where sport-specific guidance is lacking or non-existent, and this must change.

We need more openly trans voices now than ever if we are to improve trans+ access to sport and educate the wider population - particularly those within organised sports - hence why I have proudly selected Not A Phase for my 2026 fundraising efforts. Thanks to their tangible impact in offering free sport and self defence classes to trans+ adults across the UK, Not A Phase has directly impacted the lives of many and holds a special place in my heart as a trans endurance athlete.

Not A Phase is a trans-led charity committed to uplifting the lives of trans+ adults, through awareness campaigning, social projects and funding trans+ lead initiatives. It aims to give the community space to thrive, whilst working with organisations on D&I strategies to promote positive change.

I am tackling multiple Spartan race weekends in 2026: long-distance trail endurance events with physical obstacles such as swimming, climbing and carrying, plus mental challenges such as memory tests. The majority of these events will be Trifecta weekends, where I will complete all three races each weekend (21km, 10km and 5km), culminating in my very first Ultramarathon (55km+) in October.

I look forward to putting my mind and body to the test in 2026 for Not A Phase.Org and sharing the journey here and over on Instagram @troyetrotter!

Any and all support is gratefully received - thank you for making a marked difference to the lives of trans+ adults in a tumultuous time for the community here in the UK.
